Two things people should never say to the bride-to-be...

I can't stand when people ask if they're invited to my wedding. What kind of question is that? It makes me feel so awkward and I feel obligated to say that we haven't put together a guest list yet, even though we have. Don't ask if you are invited to somebodies wedding and don't say "I better be invited!" It puts the bride in an awkward position!

Next, if you are in the bridal party, don't complain about your dress. It is NOT your day! When your day comes, you'll have a chance to put your bridesmaids in whatever you please, so wait for that day and let the bride have hers. There is a distinct line between wanting to help plan and being demanding. After all, I'm not going to put you in something absolutely hideous considering you'll be in a large amount of the photos!

I have 3 bridesmaids and so I picked out three dresses,  and I told them to pick your favorite. I never let on as to which was my favorite, but they all picked the same one and it was my favorite. I got lucky with that one, but I would have been perfectly happy if they had been in 3 separate dresses.

  • Well hello resurrected dead thread. LoisLane it's considered poor netiquette to bring back threads that are days, weeks, or in this case monts old.
