So I have read over Emily Post's wedding etiquette and know that in her eyes it is absurd to have a cash bar at a wedding. However, in my own experiences I have never been to a wedding with open bar, only cash bars. I have asked many people I know about weddings they have been to and have gotten the same answer.
What will you do/did you do for your wedding? Open? Cash? Tickets for a few drinks? Beer and wine only? No bar?
My Fi and I are not big drinkers, and do not want to encourage heavy drinking at our wedding, nor do we really have the money for our guests to get sloshed on our tab, so I am pretty confident that we will not have an entirely open bar. But I am very interested in hearing about your experiences/preferences.
