Bachelorette weekend in NYC - what else to do?

Hi girls - 

My bridesmaids and I are all meeting in NYC in a few weeks for a bachelorette party, and we need ideas on what to do while we're there. We're staying in Chelsea (I think) and we're probably pretty well set on where to eat. We're planning on seeing a Broadway show on Saturday night, but what else should we do there, especially during the daytime? 

And if you could see one Broadway show, what would it be?

    Rock of Ages is the perfect show for a bachelorette party! Join Theater Mania to get more info PLUS discounted tickets. If you want something more "classic" Braodway then you should see Anything Goes starring the AMAZING Sutton Foster. As far as I know, discounted tickets aren't yet available for this show.

    Well what sorts of things do you ladies like to do? Do you enjoy specific activities? Or do you want more sightseeing-type activities?

    I'm not really sure what we want to do, but I know most of us have been there before, so I don't think sightseeing is really what we're planning, unless it's the less common sights. 

    I wonder if there's a jazz club anyone knows of. I love live jazz music, if it's good.

    Or maybe there's some kind of outdoor festival of some sort that weekend? It'll be Labor Day weekend.
