hotel info on invites- do you include prices of the rooms with the details or no?

filling out hotel information insert for invite- do you include the prices on this detail sheet, or no? I'm OK with either but wasn't sure what most people do.

Re: hotel info on invites- do you include prices of the rooms with the details or no?

  • I'd refer guests to the wedding website for "additional info."  There, you'd list hotels where you've blocked rooms and the prices for the rooms in the block and deadlines for booking and other pertinent information.  This information can be passed along by phone to elderly guests or guests who aren't Internet savvy.
  • I wouldn't put prices on the accomodations enclosure. People will be able to call/go online and determine what is in their budget.
  • I don't think that is necessary at all.  As PP said, if you wnt to mention your wedding website (if you have one) and put more information on there that is okay, or just the phone number on the invite itself.

I would just put the website on an enclosure card, and all the details on the website.  We did enclosure cards that read "For details on parking and accommodations, please visit our wedding website at...". Then, on the website, we had the rates/contact info/cutoff dates.  For us, putting it all on the card was not practical, since one of the hotels we blocked at has a detailed dress code for guests (private club).  Guests needed to know this info but it would have been a little excessive to put it on an insert card.

Our invites went out 6 days ago, and the website has already been viewed over 200 times, and several rooms have been booked.
  • thank you! this is helpful. direction towards the website also makes my DIY invites less work :)
