Re: bachelor party

  • FI is having a guys' weekend in Vegas.  He's not a huge drinker/partier, but they're planning on having some steak dinners, playing a lot of poker and blackjack, and chilling in the pool if it's warm enough.

  • DH and his buddies rented go-carts at F1 Boston for the afternoon.  The evening ended with drinking and dinner but they did a rathe run activity before it.
  • What do him and his buddies typically do together?
  • A friend of mine did rock climbing and paint balling.
  • Well, even if Vegas is too far, they could go to a casino or just have a poker night at someone's house.

  • Hahaha I was afraid my answerwould come off as rude. I'm glad it didn't :)
  • DH and his friends went out for steak and then came back to our apartment.  (I was out with the girls.)  They were going to have some drinks and then head to the strip club, but I think they got too drunk and forgot.  They ended up playing Wii all night.
  • My friend got a limo and they went out to dinner and then played some games at Dave and Busters.

  • Dh's brother, uncles, and groomsman just went to their fave restaurant/bar. It was hard since BIL lives in MD, so they just went out for the evening 2 nights before the wedding. Things I think DH thought would have been cool are riding quads, sky diving, and F1 racing.

  • H doesn't usually drink or party either, and his best man was his 20 yr old brother, so they had to be creative in finding places they could all go where some could drink. They hopped around the Fenway area, had beers and shot pool/bowled, then had an early dinner in the city and caught a show at H's favorite Improv place. The Improv show does special things to include bachelor/ettes in a comedy skit about your courtship, which they tape for you to take home, but H's brother didn't know about that. It would have been cool though.

Btw, kk did you ever decide on a Beatles song to dance to with your dad? Just curious. :)

  • FI's brother (BM) just found a website where you can drive a tank over cars for $300. FI's a huge military history nerd, and apparently it's a good kind of tank. Pretty sure that's what they'll be doing.
  • My H's friends picked him up in a van- they were all wearing shirts with pictures of him on them. They drove down to a pub a few hours away- stopping on the way at the beach to play some soccer, and at a pub on the way for food. They then saw a band play that night, stayed near the pub and had a little bromance before heading home!  :P

They were very well behaved and had a good time- his friends went to so much effort for him, I was quite impressed.
