YES I'm so glad to finally find people on these boards who are reading/have read Hunger Games! I convinced my sister to read them and she finally finished Mockingjay. And sorry Alix, but I'm team Peeta no matter whattttt

Also, Mortal Instruments is amazing. I'm completely in love with Jace. Did any of you read Clockwork Angel? I read it before City of Bones (and the other two) and it's what actually got me into the series.

I keep going to buy it and then backing out because if I buy it I'm not going to get through my HP reread in time. I read City of Bones/Ashes/Glass when they were released and I've been pimping them for freaking YEARS and nobody bit. They're amazing. If I get started on CA I'm not going to be able to concentrate on HP.

And pshaw Peeta. TEAM GALE. I mean, I love Peeta, but Gale is just less mr.-nice-guy and I like that better. I HATED how she ended MJ personally, it was so rushed. Hated. But no spoilers in here or Mands and Jaw-Jah will murder me.

I'm not going to say any spoilers, but I did cry at the end of MJ. But I agree, it felt rushed. I had to re-read parts of it. I think my main problem with Gale was that in the first book (and part of CF) he wasn't around much so I never got used to him.

Well definitely read HP first, but CA is after that. However, I'm not sure how I feel about a trilogy based on Simon. I just never connected with him.

I am not into that type of crap, so I highly doubt I would a)understand or b) appreciate it.

How about you just watch the first two movies, then start the 3rd book? It won't be exactly the same, but you'll get the gist. And I bet you'd go back and read the first two after the fact.
