Having guests RSVP on our wedding website - enclosure card wording?

Putting in an paper insert about saving paper makes no sense.  We just put instructions at the bottom of the invite.  The home page of our website has further instructions.  It's really simple, but just in case anyone is technologically challenged.  We also included an email address on the home page if people have questions.  If it's too complicated for them, people can email or call.  Here's what we said (except for the password part, which our website doesn't have):

Please respond by Month 1, 2010 online at
    www.website.com using password xxx
    or via telephone to 123-456-7890

  • We are putting directions, hotel information, and the RSVP info all on one enclosure card not adding an additional enclosure card to ask people to RSVP on our website; you're right that would negate the whole "going green" part.
  • In Response to <a href="http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_having-guests-rsvp-wedding-website-enclosure-card-wording?plckFindPostKey=Cat:Wedding%20BoardsForum:9Discussion:4c25eb89-854e-4aa0-a5c1-bba7ce5c625aPost:fd6cc83a-92b7-4a11-a6ba-faa34d26c2b7">Re: Having guests RSVP on our wedding website - enclosure card wording?</a>:

Hahaha! OOPS! I didn't even think of that. :)
  • I think you have every right to go green and save money and get your guest list together.  How is that in any way cheap?  That is actually a really rude comment.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but this post is from 2010 so it's safe to say the OP and PP already decided, sent the invites and got married...and aren't on here to read your comments :)

Right. As per my statement above. I'm sure there will be other brides who will also stumble upon this blog too and read it as well.  It may be for them to read if the brides don't ever make it back onto this blog.
  • Best to start a new topic if you have a question. It is likely denamarie1 is no longer on the board- so calling her out for something is no use, because she likely won't see it.

It is generally best to start a new discussion thread on an old topic you would like to discuss. Zombie thread clog up the forum and new ones gets buried. :)

  • @KnotPorscha - a lock, please?

I sincerely hope that all the OP's guests have RSVP'd by now...one way or another.
