We are on a very tight budget (getting married in college type budget) and are having the ceremony in the church I grew up in (for free). One of the conditions is that the congregation has to be invited to the ceremony. Its a small church (and small congregation) and I am ok with them being invited to the wedding. The reception venue will only hold 120 people. We have 120 people we want to invite not including the church crowd. Since with the church crowd aspect we will have no idea how many people will come or if they would even stay for the reception its really hard to try to plan. Is it ok to not invite them to the reception? We aren't sending the church crowd personal invites, the preacher will basically say a wedding is being hosted here on this date and you are welcome to atttend. I don't know what to do. help please!
