Toasting

Hello Ladies!

I had a quick question about toasting as we get closer to the wedding...only 38 days!!

Ok, so obviously I will have our best mand and MOH speak. We are also planning on giving a short test as well (maybe before the cake cutting).

But, I also wanted to know about the father of the bride toast. My parents are NOT throwing the wedding or contributing at all. There has been a lot of family drama recently, especially between myself and my Dad, and my FI and my Dad. Is it mandatory for him to toast us? Will anyone notice/think its bad if he doesn't?

I really need help with the etiquette here!

The only people who need to give a toast are the people who offer to do it for you. None of them are necessary.

I don't really think it matters or is proper etiquette for the father of the bride to make a speech.  I think the MOH and Best man speech will be enough!

Nope, you can just stick with the moh/bm toast and call it a day. I think the guests wouldn't care if you did a formal toast or just made sure to thank them individual, as long as you did thank them.

I've rarely seen the parents make a toast even when they're paying for the whole thing. I wouldn't think twice if they didn't make any kind of toast.
