Response card question and guest list question?

First Question:
Some members of my family have like 6-8 kids. Is it ok to put on SOME of the response cards "2 seats have been reserved in your honor" and not the rest?

Or should I keep it uniform, even if I plan to invite other family members kids? So some cards say 2 seats, some say 4, etc?
I would love to have all of the kids there but at $22/plate, and no special pricing for kids (even with the bar!) I just can't/dont want to really afford to invite them...

Second Question:
My guest list triples my fiances list, and each of our lists are mainly family, we each have 1 friend on there (outside of the wedding party)

Is this going to be odd? I can't think of any cuts on my side that wouldn't go unnoticed...he can't think of any additions to add to his...

Re: Response card question and guest list question?

  • Personally, I would determine which children under the age of 16 that you would be comfortable with inviting. Example: my FI and I are only having my daughter (she's going to be two), his sisters, his brothers, and his first cousins that are under the age of 16 at the wedding/reception.
However, we are also going to provide a FREE babysitter at the nearby hotel for those who can't find a sitter or wish to have their children with them. They do have to let us know in advance whether they'll be using the babysitting service.
You may also want to let your mother/FMIL aware of what your rules will be regarding the wedding and reception as they will probably field the most calls regarding the children invited issue.
    Good Luck!
