    Mark asked me to put his camera back in his backpack and right then this Aussie thinks Mark was asking him to take a picture of us. So I am putting the camera cover back in the pack, and Mark hands him the camera. I hear the Aussie say, what is she looking for and Mark says, I think she is looking for this.  And there he is holding the ring.  Then chaos!

    I just started crying and the Aussie started snapping pictures. One of the women in the group started crying.  Then everyone started snapping pictures and cheering. We had quite the crowd. A group of Italian girls started chanting, "kiss her.  kiss her." And he did.

    I finally stopped crying and he put the ring on and I said yes.  Every time it settled down someone else shouted, "hey, he just proposed!"  And then everyone would start snapping pictures and cheering us on.  It was hilarious.  One woman said to Mark, "this only happens in the movies."

    Oh, and did you know they have a champagne bar on the top of the Tower?  Well, now you do.

    I mean details, woman!  I'm betting he didn't say, "so, uh, wanna get married or something?".  It was probably more romantic than that, given that he did it on the Eiffel Tower.  My H is not into romance.  I must live vicariously through people. 

    EDIT:  See?  I was right.  Good job, Smokey's FI! 

    We didn't find the champagne bar.  It was cold and rainy and almost closed for the night.  But that rocks too!
