Question about RSVP envelopes

Do you think it would look tacky to print out labels for the RSVP card addressed to FI & I? This would be much easier than handwriting them. I don't have the best handwriting in the world and don't have a calligrapher. Its just my mom and MOH helping since my two other BM's are out of state for the summer.

Re: Question about RSVP envelopes

  • In my opinion if you are having a really casual wedding it may be OK, but I probably would avoid it if you can.  Is there anyway to run them through your printer with a merged excell file?
  • I have terrible handwriting so there was no way I could write them.  My invites came with pre-printed envelopes with the RSVPs.  You can probably run them through your printer.  You have to feed them one at a time but once you get them started its easier than writing them.

  • We have labels for our RSVP envelopes and they look lovely.  WAY nicer than if I had written them out in my own handwriting by far!!  We are getting married in the fall and have a filigree/leaf pattern on our invites.  We had the same pattern printed for the RSVP envelope labels and they look fabulous!
  • Yes, labels are fine. Clear labels would probably be the best for your RSVPs. I just ran each of mine straight through the printer w/o labels, and it was a huge PITA.

Yea, I could probably do something like that. Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. haha

Yes and no as far as casual. Its at 5:30 which is technically considered formal but we are kindof doing our own thing. We are having the reception at the local Floyd Country Store which is famous for Friday night jamborees. So I think it is turning into a simple yet classy country wedding. Which totally fits FI's personality. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

  • Printer would be the first choice.

Dresses may be easier to take in than let out, but guest lists are not. -- kate51485
  • RSVP envelopes are always printed. If you didn't get them done by the printer, then I agree with the others -- run them through your own printer. I'd use labels as a last option if you can't run them through for some reason. I've never seen one with a handwritten address.
  • nope. I printed out labels. guests don't care about the frickin' envelopes.

  • I think an easy and nice-looking solution might be buying a stamp with your address on it from etsy or vistaprint.

This. I printed labels, too. Nobody is likely to care anyway, so you might as well go with the simplest option.
