I just wanted to share that I put our first Christmas decoration up for 2010. It came in a "Fragile" box just like in the movie. It is one of our favorite wedding gifts

H worked from home that day and looked out the window at a delivery guy wheeling a big crate on a Dolly up our driveway. He called me at work accusing me of spending $180 on a leg lamp a week before the wedding. A family friend bought for us who overheard we had wanted one.
ps: We had to open the crate with a crow bar like in the movie. Hilarious.

We have a small night stand size leg lamp.  H had it from before we met though so I don't know if it came in the box like that.  I love that you have the same size as the movie!

They also have "A Christmas Story" convention in Ohio where it was filmed. Someone sold the house for a mil marketing on the fact that it was the house from the movie. Someone bought it and restored it to it's original movie magicnessss. I'm determined to go to the convention next year!
H thinks i'm crazy but that's cool.

I didn't know that it was filmed in Ohio. That is interesting. Maybe we will have to check it out sometime.

I haven't been there, but they now have a museum and stuff there that's open all year.  They sometimes have a few extra special activities during the Christmas season.
