Help! Reception Venues in NYC/Hudson Valley

Does anyone know any good venues in either the NYC metro, Hudson Valley, or White Plains/Westchester area? We are doing a 1920's speakeasy/vintage hollywood theme and I'm having a hard time finding a reception location with that intimate, speakeasy feel. I don't know Hudson Valley or White Plains at all. We live in NYC and are thinking we want to get out of the city to get married, but I'm open to ideas.

Any suggestions?

We are getting married at the Down Town Association in the Financial District. The building is stunning - build in the early 20th century and totally maintained/restored. It started in the late 19th century as a lunch club for bankers & lawyers on Wall Street, and has tons of character. It could be a good option for you: www.thedta.com

Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz might work.  Or maybe Bobby Van's Grill on Wall Street.  (They turned an old bank vault into a restaurant.)

What about 24 Fifth? It's got kind of a vintage-y vibe going on, I think--lots of gilt and old mirrors and stuff.

You should re-post this on the Hudson Valley board as well, they might be able to give you some pointers. I got married at The Garrison http://www.thegarrison.com/ in the HV, the area is gorgeous. My venue may not work for your vibe, but there are tons of places out there.
Also check out the Montauk Club in Brooklyn. here's a link for a wedding there on 100layercake   http://100layercake.com/blog/?s=montauk+club .

The Bobby Van's on Wall Street looks so cool.  But isn't Wall Street scary and dead at night?
