bridesmaid gifts

Is it ok to get all the bridesmaids the same gift ( I like the bracelets in the knot's shop)? Am I supposed to get the maid of honor something different? HELP!

Thanks :-)

The general rule is 'shop for them like it's their birthday'.  So in general you're going to want personal, unique gifts.

Jewelry isn't the best idea for a gift, because everyone's tastes are different.  And if it's jewelry for the wedding, it's not really a gift.

You should get gifts that each girl would like.  If you think they would all like the same bracelet, then buy it for all of them.  However, if your girls have different tastes, I would encourage you to shop a little more.

Also, if you are making them wear it for the wedding, it is not their gift.

The consensus 'round here is that it's best to shop for your bridesmaids as if it were their birthdays.  Choose something for each bridesmaid that you know she would enjoy or find meaningful, based on her own unique personality and interests.

I haven't heard great things about the quality or timeliness of The Knot store.  I'd avoid it if possible.

  • get something that fits their personalities. even if it's jewelry, pick jewelry that they would wear on a regular basis, that is part of their personal style.
