Am I totally out of the loop? Is this normal? I find this so wrong! We went to a wedding last weekend of some good friends of my fiance. The groom and I were chatting it up and he said that the contract that the DJ sent them said that tips were welcome because they tell the DJ how well they did. In my opinion, asking for tips is SUPER unclassy, but to ask for them in a contract? Just plain wrong. I would have never signed the contract to begin with. Not to mention this DJ just plain sucked. Her organization skills failed miserably, the garter toss and bouquet toss took a grand total of 2 minuts together and she didn't even change the song between them. She didn't even announe it was happening. If their contract rings true, I would have asked for money BACK as "tip tells them how well they did". Negative tip it is!
