PS... this is an edited post but I felt i aired some family laundry I shouldn't...

So FSIL keeps making sly comments about how I can use her wedding things sice she used light blue before me...

Am I being wrong to have the same wedding color? I think no but am frustrated by the hostility... There is just no other color I like!

ugh.. this whole post is making me realize how stupid this question even is but I cannot delete so here ya go!

She doesn't OWN a color. Ignore her....and if you really like the stuff use it.

It's cool. Sometimes we all freak out over what someone said when really that person was trying to be nice. You may take her comments as snide, but really she may want to lend you a hand....

example would be when I first met FIL. We went out for chinese food. Everyone was sitting at the table looking at menus when he says

"why don't we let Stina order the food?!"

I was offended because I felt like he said it because I am half chinese....and I know now that he was trying to be nice and ask for my opinion.

It's really easy to read into things that FSIL's say/do- I did this a lot during the planning, and H kept telling me to ignore what she said/her somewhat negative reactions to wedding related things, as she really didn't mean for them to seem the way they did and underneath it all she wasn't negative at all, just excited.

You only like one color?

I think using light blue is fine.  If it was something like hot pink or the same lime green & navy color combination, then it might be weird.

I missed the original post and any "issues" that were in it, but could you add completely different accent colors?

I truly like only one color... Red!! lol.. Anyone one who knows me know that! My brother used red for 2 of his 3 weddings. No big deal. He hates red though, but his one wedding was a Valentines one, they used red and pink, the other was a christmas one, so of course the used red. Use what colors you like! Don't worry abouth the sil... she just might be worried your wedding will be better! lol
