Hey! I new to writing on here but I really need some advice. My brother recently started dating a new girl (three weeks ago), and she has become very invasive and pushy when it comes to my wedding, which is less then a month away. She has invited herself to my bachelorette party (which is just my closest friends), gotten a dress that matches the bridesmaids and told my mom that she couldn't wait to sit next to her during the wedding. (To which my mom responded that she would see her during the wedding but needs to sit by my dad.) She even went as far as to go and take out my dress while I wasn't there so she could see it. (I didn't want anyone but my immediate family to see it because I wanted it to be a surprise.)
I know this sounds really petty but I'm not sure how to politely tell her that she is overstepping. I was also wondering if anyone has any advice on how to let her know that family pictures at my wedding are meant for my close family without hurting her feelings and how to avoid a possible scene at the wedding? She tends to be very out-spoken. My parents have already expressed their concern because my brother tends to go through girlfriends rather quickly and they have only been dating such a short time. His last girlfriend, with whom he had a bad break up, is in all of our vacation photos and its not a pleasant reminder to the rest of the family.
I know that she means well and wants to be a part of our family which is why I don't want to hurt her feelings or cause drama.
I'm sorry for the rant. I'm just not used to dealing with some one that I don't know being so pushy.
