Ok, I know this question has been all over the place here...but we are having a small wedding (keeping 100 or under) and like most, have a very tight budget. Problem is the "rough draft" guest list is turning out to be all single men, minus a few people that are in serious relationships. There are NO single women in our circle of friends and family and almost 20 children invited as they are part of the family. I'm afraid not to include +1 in fear of it ending up a bunch of single guys standing around doing nothing but drinking. Also, I feel awkward telling single people they can't bring a guest due to "trying to keep the guest list down" and justifying them walking into a wedding with two tables of just kids. Is there a happy medium? I'm really stressing about this so any advice is greatly appreciated!
