Yeah, she's the same one that says "Oh, thank god you're here" to me in front of my client when I get there.  And then lists all the "bad" things she's done today.  She's a 13 year old girl.  At this point, she does "bad" things just to piss the teacher off because she knows she has that power.  She runs that classroom.

Thanks, guys. That felt good to get off my chest. I've been holding in my tears all day at work.

Petal, I think I'm following you on Pinterest. Maybe J&K too? I followed some of Edie's people.
  • Evening all, relaxing on the river.  Hope all is well in your worlds.  Not going to make it long tonight, woke up wide awake at 3:30 am today and have been going strong ever since!

Tomorrow we go to get our marriage license and go to the castle where we are getting married to explore.  Best part will be the boat ride to the castle.

  • Erin - I will look for you.

MK linked me her pinterest awhile back and I started following a lot of people that way. I felt like a creeper since I didn't even have any FB friends or know anyone that well yet.

And I'm turning into a top of the page PW. I don't like being on top...well, on TK.

</div><div>Me too! I started following people and felt really weird because I have one FB knot friend. I was hoping people wouldn't think I'm creepy as fuuuuuuuuuuck.

  • Petal, every day I'm there I have to bite my tongue.  I actually had to step out of a meeting with that teacher a couple weeks ago because I knew if I opened my mouth, shiiiit would come out that needed to stay in my head.

I understand why the teacher is frustrated.  That client is extremely difficult and they've had a long year with her.  But Jesus tapdancing Christ on a cracker, lady--at what point do you realize that you're only making it worse when you could just shut your mouth and make it better?  I thought she was going to lose it on me the day she told me that my client had asked to go to the social worker's office and had vented about how much she hated the teacher, etc, and I told the teacher that I was super impressed with how appropriately my client had handled the situation, because venting her frustration in an appropriate venue is crazy hard for her.

  • J&K thank you for the work you do.  I know you must feel under appreciated...but know that some teachers really do value the work you do!

I was talking to a behavioral therapist today about a student  and she asked how his behavior has been.  I told her it continues to be inappropriate, but I have found if I give him a few minutes to calm down and then address the behavior, he responds positively and usually apologizes/corrects his behavior.

She said she wished others could understand that, as he had been in and out of her office all day because of issues with other teachers.

  • Erin - You are such a CREEPER! I totally get what you are saying though. I felt the same way and then one day I just started requesting friends and following more people on pinterest. I was worried that people would think I was still too new or something.

J - I'm lucky that I'm able to vent to our social worker or psychologist. It's usually the same teachers that we all have problems with. Sometimes I go visit Kindergarten to feel happy again.

  • I haven't been on Pinterest in a grip.

And I'm pretty sure "a grip" as a unit of time went out of style before I graduated from high school.

  • Petals and Erin, creepy or not, I do not think I am following either of you on Pinterest,  PM your name if you don't mind.
  • I was nervous to request people on FB bc I was afraid they'd be creeped out. I was so nervous when I friended Loopy, Rachers and Any, haha. I wouldn't even request J, haha.

That's exactly what the teacher needs to do with this girl.  Give her 10 minutes and she usually does what you want.  And if not, well, then nothing you can do will change her mind otherwise so you might as well just ignore her.

But thank you :)  I'm glad you "get" it.  It's nice to hear that.  I know there are awesome teachers out there.  I wish I dealt with more.

Ok, I'm totally done blabbering about work.  Thanks for your support guys, I get so frustrated sometimes.

    Ski - YGPM!

I wish I could blab more about work. My H hears so much, but I really hesitate to talk too much about work. Too risky feeling for me.
  • Erin, what do you do?  I forgot.

  • J, define "a grip", never heard that.

Also, how is box kitty and how is the new house.  It must feel so good to be settled in.

Erin, sorry for the bummer of a day.  I hope your H is okay, some of my looks that kill can be lethal.

Petals, woot woot to a new job, good vibes to you!

I'm am accounts receivable for a small corporation.  I think if I were in accounts payable and dealt with more internal company stuff I could talk more, but I deal with all our buyers. We sell to many really HUGE corporations, so I hesitate to biiitch about anything.
  • Erin - YGPM

J - Anytime you need to vent or talk about work, feel free to talk to me. I get it.

So I started MFP this week and it has really helped me. I owe it to TK since I had never heard of it before. Thanks peeps.

Petal, YGPM x2. I'm an idiot. You can do it now that I adjusted some settings!
  • Ski, it's slang (or was, I haven't heard it in forever) for a long time, basically.

    Erin, that makes sense.

Petal, thanks!  I appreciate it :)  Especially since I'm losing my work bestie, which I'm still bummed about.  And same to you!

Yesterday, I learned that a 'kardash' is a length of time measurement. 72 days, to be exact. Example: "Can't wait to see you in a kardash!"
  • Today's our 4th anniversary. We're celebrating in earnest on Saturday. Hi y'all.
  • Nice, Erin.  I like that.

I learn all sorts of new lingo at work.

Today I learned the work "twacked."  (high/drunk/wasted)  I also learned about cokeweed and green monster weed.

Cool story bro, you should tell it at parties.
