Moving to NYC

Hi Ladies,

I know this isn't 100% related to the board, but my FI and I are moving to NYC a month before our wedding (dueto a promo of my FI). I wanted to see if anyone could give me some suggestions on where to look for apartments.

We are looking for an area that if we were to walk outside we could grab a bite to eat, go to the grocery, get a cocktail, or just walk around. It doesn't have to be the "it" area, just something fun.

Our budget is $4,000 or less a month.

OR if anyone knows of a good broker.

Sorry again this isn't really wedding related, but it is stressing me out since we have to move a month before we get married in Chicago!

Thanks so much!!

Ashley

In Manhattan it really doesnt matter where you live, there are restaurants in walking distance everywhere. With 4k budget you can get yourself a very nice apartment. Depending on where your husbands office if you might look in that part of the City. Depending what you like, you like to run or cycle look around Central Park. PM me if you want to chat,
  • You can definitely find a nice one bedroom apt. in the city for 4k a month.  It all depends on where you want to be.  I would look at listings on Craigslist.  Many of the listings are done by brokers and will have pics in them.
