I played in elementary school and junior high. My district had a pretty good music program.

I love the comment on the YouTube video: "wow i dont even know what level this song is but they memorized all their notes!"

You played in school? That's impressive!  Did you grow up in Cincy or Dayton?

At Purdue, we had to memorize our music for Christmas show and our specialty groups.

I grew up in a suburb of Dayton. I played other instruments, too, so I was used to memorizing lots of stuff for recitals and marching band.

Clarinet. I played bass clarinet in concert band, but they don't march. I also played trumpet in jazz band, and I played the piano for fifteen years.

Nice!  I played violin in orchestra and then piano for about 5 years.  I love the clarinet with its deep sounds.  I bet the bass clarinet sounds even more awesome.  Like a cello.  Sigh . . .

I keep telling Matt that our first purchase once we buy a house will be to buy a piano.  I miss having one on the house.  I love to sit and play for a few hours.

My dad said I can have mine whenever I want. We don't have room for it right now. We might have had room for it if we didn't buy a china cabinet, but that's probably more useful. The next house will definitely have room for it.

I got Amazon $$ from SParent which fed my Kindle book habit.  I got "A Discovery of Witches" (OMG SOOO GOOD) and 3 or 4 el-cheapo titles too so I'm good for a while on reading material.  H always gets on my case about spending so much on books so this was perfect .

Yay Adamar I am so glad you like it I was worried maybe you weren't that big of a Hp fan to wear the necklace but I also thought it was too cool to pass up. I hope the wrapping is ok-- the guy at the FedEx place thought I wanted to completely rewrap the necklace so he started opening it and I was like wtf stop! So sorry if the necklace was wrapped a little wonky. I AWed a while ago but loopy got me a really pretty scarf which is awesome since I'm getting more into scarves lately. I also got some delicious homemade christmas cookies, a stuffed bear for Tory, some bath salts, a candle and some nutcracker shaped ornaments that were packer themed for J. a super great SS!!

I'm super late to this, but andy got me a stuffed bear and Mrs. Fields cookies.  So yummy, and the bear makes my couch look so cute!

MuSu, I wore it out the day I got it   H thought it was really cool too.  I plan on wearing it to his work lunch tomorrow.

I'm late to this (stupid work!) - but I got an awesome pair of fingerless gloves, and a matching Christmas candle & mug set. I AW'd earlier. But I don't know who they came from!
