Thanks for all your good thoughts and vibes--it worked! Doc saw no signs of any problem or cancer or anything! So he goes back to the PCP in 2 weeks, probably more testing on thyroid is next. But we are so relieved to know that he is all clear as far as today's test went! Thanks again!
