Because it's so easy to say stupid things about people's appearance when it's anonymous.  It's a cheap shot, and if you're really trying to hurt someone... well, most people know that's a good way to do it.

Exactly, because it's ridiculous and untrue.  Like 90% of what is said on there.

I think you can be a little too harsh at times, Amoro -- but at least when you call someone out for their stupidity, you're responding to something they've actually said or done.  Making fun of other Knotties' appearances on the call-out site isn't responding to anything; it's being deliberately and maliciously cruel.

I understand lashing out at someone in the heat of the moment, when your (general you) feelings are hurt and you aren't thinking clearly.  But I will never understand actively TRYING to hurt someone else.  What kind of person derives satisfaction from someone else's pain or distress?  It saddens me to think that people I like and trust (inasmuch as you can trust anyone over the Internet) may be responsible for some of these callouts.  (I don't THINK any  E or SB regs are involved in the actual mudslinging, but you never know.)

I know what you mean, celles.  I can't imagine disliking someone or being so upset about something said/done on this board that I would make one of those.  Personally, in the amount of time it would take to make and submit one, I would almost definitely be over whatever pissed me off.  Or be distracted by something shiny.

And wouldn't you feel so much more vindication if you were actually able to tell that person to their face (or at least to their computer)?  This whole anomoyity crap really doesn't cut it for me.

Also, I'm very certain there are Sb'ers and Eeners involved in making some of these.

I have.  :)  And in case I haven't said it before, I really respect you for either taking the feedback to heart and affecting a change, or rejecting it and standing your ground.  Whatever your response at the time, you're honest and forthright.  I think that's admirable.

Agreed.  I'm not idealistic enough to think we're all singing kumbaya around a campfire on this board.  Um, we have FFF.  Enough said.

ETA:  I sometimes think more SB'ers make them because they have pent up anger.  They're always so nice to each other... but clearly there are KPSCOs targeting SB'ers whom E barely even knows (approve, belle..)

Hmm, I think that's a rather unfair blanket statement, Kiki. No one I know from over there has pent-up anger that has led to submitting hateful callout posts. They don't even talk about the site over there. I honestly have no idea where all the aprov drama came from, because no one even fights with her on the board that I've seen. It's just some pissed off lurkers, apparently. Even if it was SB regs, to generalize that to them making more of the hateful callouts is just illogical and wrong.

Also, the P2 one was totally out of line. I had hoped all the lovefesty ones had changed the tone of the site, but apparently not.
