I already hate my MIL

She just called me to tell me that she knows we got $700 at the wedding (which we didn't) and how much did I have left and how did I spend it? When Shane and I were opening cards and gifts after the wedding, I saw her pick up the cards and go through them, but I didn't really realize she was counting. And she definitely can't count, because that's nowhere near the right amount.

I honestly didn't even know how to respond, and just said, I'm not sure where you got that total but it's not correct, and Shane knows what was spent so ask him. I'm at work, goodbye.

I don't talk about her much fischey, but yeah, it's delved into hate at this point. She threw a huge tantrum twenty minutes before the wedding and told me to go back to the caterers to get her something to eat (she claims sugar problems, but she's not diabetic). She's refusing to let Shane move his bed to our new place because "they paid for it." (and I only have a twin!). She thinks I should buy a new one so they don't have to move that one. It's on and on.

Actually, her other reasoning was, if we get into a fight, he needs to be able to come back home to sleep, because he shouldn't have to sleep in an environment where there is fighting, it will make him sick. ::rolls eyes::

Like I told LVB yesterday (or sco?), the apron strings are actually steel cables.

In any event, would you be able to simply tell her, flat out, "It's none of your business.  It's between my husband (you may want to hit that word hard) and me."

He does know she's crazy, and he just shrugs it off. Saying something literally does no good. His sister's husband doesn't even really speak to her anymore because she just doesn't know when to stop.

Is there anyway you can stick her in a box and mail it, a la garfield?? I am truly blessed my MIL lives 3 hrs away and doesnt know how to drive a car and never phones the house.
