I had a question about commenting on your blog. How come it asks for an email address in order to comment? Is the email address shown along with the comment? I'm not very blog savvy, as you can see.

Hi!  It only shows me the email address, it's not visible to anyone else who views the blog or on the page where you commented.  I promise I don't email people who leave me comments!

I honestly don't know why it does that.  I should probably poke around and see if I can get that removed, although I'm not sure right now how to do it.

ETA: I removed the mandatory email requirement.

  • Thanks for the information. I wanted to comment on your last post, which I agreed with (about brides taking medication).

  • You didn't have to remove the mandatory email- I'm just paranoid lol...I don't mind you having my email, I just didn't want it to come up in a search engine.

  • No, I completely understand.  I don't like handing out my email address either.  I usually don't mind commenting on blogs because they have the OpenID feature where you can just plug in the name of your blog to leave a comment.  And I didn't mind taking it off.  I understand the desire for internet privacy, lol.

  • Well, thanks for making the change. I like your blog so far. A lot of people have been diagnosed with some type of anxiety disorder and your blog normalizes it and makes it easy to relate to.

  • I didn't realize how common anxiety disorder was until so many people started commenting on it and saying that they had it.  I feel like too many people don't say anything when they are diagnosed for fear that they'll be treated differently.  I know when I was first diagnosed with GAD, a couple "friends" of mine would act like they had to tiptoe around me constantly, and would warn other people that I was "off my meds" or 'just crazy", etc.  That seems to be a common misconception of people who have anxiety disorder, that they're just crazy and uncontrollable.  And that's not the case at all.

Thank you.  That really means a lot to me.  :)
