Engagement Photos in NYC

Hey ladies!!!

I'm newly engaged and I'm hoping to hire a photographer that will provide a few shots that will be used for our engagment announcements and party.

I'd like the photos to have a New York City centric flair and be very well priced! any suggestions? Student photgraphers welcome!

    I worked with Sasha Israel and had such a blast! She is fun and easy to work with and took GREAT shots. She's excellent at capturing the essence of the couple with the magic of the city. http://sashaisraelphotography.com/

    We used redsweatshirt photography for our engagement party and engagement shoot and will be using them for our wedding. theredsweatshirt.com  very reasonable prices and creative photos.

    thanks! I actually love her stuff! great tip, let see what she'll quotes us with, I also feel like the photos on the site have a great sense of the city. We reside in Harlem and really want the engagement photos to feel like the community we love and it's seems like she captures the essence of the surroundings!

    To throw out another suggestion - Melissa Lynn is awesome and we reccommend her all of the time! Awesome creative NYC engagement portraits, when we worked with her it was $150 for a 1 hour shoot and $250 for 2 hour, with all of the images to keep. Plus we needed them for our announcements too and she was able to supply them a week or so after we did the shoot.

    the photographer who is doing my wedding, Konrad Kolen, does amazing engagement sessions.  on his website, you can see the engagement session he did for a couple in Central Park -- some truly beautiful pictures.  www.kolenphotography.com (album sample 2)

    We love love love our photographer - Jennfer Sosa, so accomodating and lovely to work with.

    She has lots of ideas and makes you feel super comfortable.

    My wedding photographer is amazing! We didn't get a chance to do an engagement shoot due to our short engagement period but after seeing all her recent work and already having hired her for our wedding, my husband and I are totally doing a shoot as soon as it gets warm. Her name is Astami and she is the best! She's totally down to earth and listens and was truly able to photograph us in a way that was true to our personality. Her email is astamiclicks@gmail.com but my favorite engagement that she did in NYC was the couple from San Diego... I'm so jealous!
