[QUOTE]TR - yep, Milburn. I wish they had a calendar on their website. I know what they did in June and what they're doing at the end of Sept but nothing for this week.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but we went last weekend and were kind of disappointed.  They don't really start their fun stuff until next weekend which is their first Fall Festival.  You can pick your own apples (any maybe raspberries?) now and go into the "petting zoo" (I think it's just goats and pigs), but that's about it.  Oh yeah, we did the corn maze which was totally empty, but kind of fun.  Wear sneakers.

Not saying don't go, but if you can go again later I would because it will be a lot more fun and more to do :)

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Good morning! : I've never worried about outside, but this is inside my detached garage that they've used to nest in the past 2 winters.  I'm trying to figure out a way to stop them from coming in so they nest somewhere else.  This morning they had all kinds of greenery they were starting to pull into the upper rafts.  Also, this summer when we went to clean up the garage they had eaten an entire box that had old plates in it that was sitting on a shelf.  We were hoping just using the garage more often would deter them, but apparently they're still planning on nesting.

Do you want to boot them out? Can you put up some sort of metal mesh stuff to keep them from nesting. It might be mean to kick them out, but your stuff wouldn't get destroyed anymore. Our apartment has a detached garage so we have the birds nesting issue. Fi just had that metal muh stuff up there to separate the inside from the outside eaves.

[QUOTE]We're going to the Boston College vs. Kent State game tomorrow, and watching football the rest of the day (my Boilers better beat Western Illinois!).  And Stacks, I'll definitely cheer for OSU against Miami, ANY DAY!

UGHoh. We have to be frenemies until this weekend is over MattsPenguin.  As much as I hate to say it, BC will probably beat Kent, but I have to be supportive of my alma mater.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Good morning! : Nah its okay. We went in the summer just to get the produce. I've never had lettuce last so long and taste so good. I really have no idea what to do up here with kids. Any suggestions on where to go to amuse a 6, 3 and 1 year old?

It's a little far (45 min drive?), but the new DE Children's Museum in Wilmington is supposed to be amazing.  I think the Plumpton Park Zoo is still in the process of reopening so that's out.

  • Sep, I was wondering when you said you lived in Kent.  Of course, being from Cincinnati, I know a few people who went to KSU.

I have no ties to either team, except for being a season ticket holder at BC (so we can see VT, Clemson, and ND when they are in town).  But I think you're right; BC will crush them!
  • Aw. I just got sad. :-( OH WELL. Kent needs better coaches. I honestly think that 80% of the team's success is attributed to the coaching staff. Just check out OSU. Tressel... with your Ken Doll Hair and sweater vests... you make my heart race.

OKAY. now that I have creeped out everyone, time to go to work. Laters all! <3

  • Tressel makes me want to poke my eyes out!  I think he sold his soul to the devil!

It's definitely dependent on coaches.  I mean Central Michigan has been pretty great (for a MAC team) for years with their good coaches (and good QB's).
