I'm definitely not surprised, but that is sad. I used to have the biggest crush on him when I was little.

Salt, me too! I seriously loved him in License to Drive and Lost Boys. I watched a bit of the Coreys reality show, and it was shocking to see how far he's fallen. I always thought the other Corey would be the drug addict.

TMZ says overdose, but the other news outlets aren't saying, so that's speculative for now.

I don't know about the reality show you mentioned Bec, but I loved him way back when too!  That's really sad.

That is very sad!  It seems like all of the teen idols from when I was growing up are all ending up this way, or close to it.

It seems like MOST teen idols from any era are in some form of trouble, eating disorders, depression, drugs, alcoholism, etc.

Corey Haim was my favorite of the Coreys. That's really sad. Did anybody see Dream a Little Dream? It had both the Coreys and it's been one of my favorite movies almost my entire life.

This is sad. When I watched "The Two Coreys" I remember thinking there was something very sad about him. I also thought that Corey Feldman was hard on him on the show. I'm sure Corey F. went through a lot with him regarding Haim's drug addiction but I thought he really talked down to Haim and acted condescendingly.

The shows I saw I didn't think Feldman was too hard on him at all. Both their successes were depending on that reality show and the Lost Boys sequel. Haim ruined both. It would have to be frustrating to see your friend not only kill every chance at treatment, but kill your success right along with his. He just wouldn't even try to get help, and he had every opportunity at his disposal. It was like he was pissed off that Feldman has a good life, but at the same time he wouldn't do anything to improve his own situation.

I never watched The Two Corey's.  It just seemed so sad and desperate.

It has been a sad couple of weeks for celebrities and offspring.

Feldman had had his own demons and had overcome them and was trying desperately to help him, if I recall. He finally had to walk away, because Haim didn't want the help.

Bec, I was floored when I saw that on CO, then on MSNBC. And agreed Fishy - the only teen vampire movie worth seeing. Did you know the guy who played his older brother (Jason Patric) is the grandson of Jackie Gleason? His father was the priest in the Exorcist (the one who went down the stairs).

I had so many dreams of becoming a teen, getting a tan, growing out my long curly (ha!) hair and changing my name to Star... I loved Corey Haim at that time, but I was crushing hard on his older vampire brother!

I feel bad for his mother.  He was staying with her and she found him non responsive. 

A positive note:  Salt, you look so happy and beautiful in your wedding pic.

As an 80s kid I feel at a loss.  I didn't like Corey too much, but in the 80s the two Coreys were "it".  Though not unexpected it is sad his life ended up this way.  

On another pop trivia note TMZ is reporting this is the same building that Rick James died in "I'm Rick James B*tch!"

Sad, but like everyone said, not surprising.  I seem to remember some story in the past about Corey Haim selling his teeth online for drug money.  Once I heard that, I figured it was only a matter of time.

I have to know--where there girls who thought Corey Feldman was cute???  In my mind, there was only ONE Corey

Feldman was actually the fave of both me & my sister.  I just got off the phone with her and she said she felt guilty now that that was the case.

True.  I'm glad to see he's turned his life around.  I don't know why he dressed up as Michael Jackson at Michael's funeral, but whatever.

He dresses like Michael Jackson a lot, which causes me to judge him almost as much as the other Corey for being a drug addict. Skewed judgements: I haz 'em.

I know i can't say that i'm completely shocked.

But it is still super sad & such a waste.  I wish he had been able to pull himself out of the addiction cycle -- and get better. 

I hope that at least his passing serves to help others who want to give up struggling against addiction to keep on fighting and not give up.
