How much to pay the preacher?

How much do you pay the preacher? I'm having a short outdoor wedding ceremony. I have invited the preacher and his family to the wedding and reception.  When he preached at the "family" church him and his family got close with some of our family.

You might want to ask on your local board and see what the going rate is in your area.

Unless the preacher has a "rate", usually you can give a honorarium.

Would you ask the church secretary when it's not being held in the church?

A coworker of mine is a pastor's wife; she recommended at least 100. my pastor's secretary suggested (very hesitantly) 50 or so. i'm doing 200 (because it's simply a love offering) and he also has given us premarital counseling. you are "paying" him/her for his/her time and effort. a friend explained it to me that i am taking time away from his family and his life. so i did what i felt good about.
of course, it's always going to be up to you. usually, anything is more than what he/she is expecting. (:
