It's Monday - guess what that means??

Re: It's Monday - guess what that means??

  • It's treating us oh so good! We arrived in Boston yesterday morning, went crazy shopping (tax free weekend!!!) and I think we're going up towards Harvard today. 8 days left! :)
  • Stacks - haha I didnt even notice that!

I definitely agree with all you ladies about ripping the baby out myself, I probably would have done it after 2 hours. Her due date was also August 4th, so the baby is 9 days overdue - she must really be loving it in there
Holy shiiiit.  Twenty-eight hours in labor with no result? I'd be ripping that baby out MYSELF.  Good lord.
    Posted by baystateapple
Double word.  I wonder why they haven't just gone with a cesarean at this point.  My sister was in labor less time than that but she wasn't progressing so the doctor just went ahead and scheduled surgery.

Morning ladies!  I am sleepy still so here's hoping I wake up soon.  Nothing exciting to for today but tomorrow after work I have a hair appointment and I am toying with the idea of a whole new haircut.  We shall see.

  • Snips - We get our keys the 27th!  WOOT WOOT!  I will take pics of the ugly ass but awesome house as soon as I move in.

We have been without our TV since the beginning of June, and LG was supposed to be sending us a new one over a month ago... still waiting and now we're moving.  Awesome sauce.

  • Cali-- What style are you after?  I'm all for going with totally new cust and styles. :)

Habs, that's ridonkadonk. I'm absolutely going to live vicariously while you work on this house. I would love to buy a house that needs some work and make it our own. I've never been able to make someplace mine.

I'm thinking about a medium bob like <a href="http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.hairstylesdesign.com/blog/photos/additional/451_add_1305751430.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.hairstylesdesign.com/blog/jennifer_aniston_top_10_looks.php&h=393&w=590&sz=59&tbnid=LQynUaYdtmGbIM:&tbnh=74&tbnw=111&zoom=1&usg=__ETcLjsAEDW_utVgOqN9i2kUZA7A=&docid=kxRMcDkkdtWRlM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=4PwoUL7yFIOO2AWo8ID4DA&ved=0CEIQ9QEwAA&dur=0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">this (<-clicky).  I want to go shorter; H likes it the way it is now, it about at my shoulder blades but my hair is pretty fine so I feel like it just kind of hangs there most days.  I used to blow dry it every day but Texas summers are just to hot to deal with those shenanigans so its pretty much wash and go now.  I think going shorter would give it more body without having to do much as far as styling in the mornings.

  • I have really fine hair as well, Cali, and have often done an angled bob. The thing about Jennifer Anniston's hair, is that it's kind of thick, so it keeps that nice hang. I would actually try a bit shorter if you really want to see a difference. It shouldn't change too much about how much you need to style it, especially if your stylist cuts it correctly. H likes my hair long too, but that doesn't mean it looks best that way. :) He hates my short hair, but I love it.

This has a much more exaggerated difference between front and back

But either way, I think you'll find that losing weight can only help your hair. :)
  • All right, I'm out! We need to go find ourselves a laundromat.
  • Morning all!

Cali - I think a bob would be great. My hair used to be about as long as yours, and I went shorter, now I do a chin length bob, sometimes angled, sometimes just with some layering. I have stick straight, fine hair, and longer styles just don't look good. The shorter style will definitely give you some added volume.

I had a good weekend, but H was gone all last week until yesterday afternoon, so now I'm just ready for next weekend when we have nothing planned!

I think you and Snips are right; a bob is the way to go with fine hair.  H is just going to have to get used to the short hair styles.  I really like the angled bob but I need to keep it long enough that I can put it up if I need to.  I can't stand the feeling of on my neck and face when I'm working out.

I'm the same way, though for me it's more about keeping it out of my eyes. Honestly, I can usually only tie up the top half of my hair. I also sometimes use those headbands that go all the way around...that might help you keep it off of your neck too?
