So my FI and I are having to make some hard decisions about our wedding considering that we have a budget of $7K. Something that we are considering (his suggestion) is that we have a cocktail hour preceding the wedding that everyone would attend. Then following the ceremony we would have a dinner for family only instead of a full reception.
My initial thoughts were "Not doing it, that's tacky!" But after thinking it over and considering our friend group(we are mostly in college) I'm thinking that it would be okay.
What are your thoughts? Tacky or smart and intimate?
