Anyone here?

Just wondering?

  • Oh.. DH was NOT a good patient when he got his out.. How is your DH?

MilkD- How was your NOLA trip?  DH works on a Canal St Hotel.. Always wondered if he took care of you or not?

[QUOTE]He's been an OK patient, just kind of loopy and funny. He fell asleep when we first got home and woke up very confused. (What happened?  Where am I? type stuff).  I want to get one more dose of pain meds in him b/c I remember how horrible it was waking up the next day when I had mine out. My NOLA trip was great.  We were at the Sheraton.  We went to Commander's Palace for dinner our last night there and then out for a bit and it was awesome. I want to go back with H when we have time to explore.  How do you like living there so far?

<div>Sheraton is only a few blocks away from us. Great location.  </div><div>
</div><div> Next time contact me.. We are Ritz people. I like the area we live in.  People are nice, lots to do.  Kind-of overwhelming for me, but I'm getting use to it.</div>

  • I am just stopping in I think. I am watching some TV before bed. What you up to Lynda?
  • I'm around on and off. I'm enjoying some wine after my hectic night.

  • Well... DH is in bed.. I'm drinking some wine.  I'm a SAHW you know, no need to wake up early.  We went out earlier to see a jazz performer.

I like living in the states..   There is a lot do, nice people to meet.

  • I have been wondering how that would be when I am SAHW. I never know if it is appropriate to go out with my friends on some nights or stay up later than H. I guess its just something we will have to work out then. Even thought in my dreams it would be happening tomorrow. I hate working.

[QUOTE]I will, Lynda!  It would be nice to meet up without being worried I'd be called back to the hotel to take care of some convention drama.  I love my job, but wish I got to enjoy the cities we visit more.

<div>Well, you 'know' people here. So take advantage of the Sheraton for rooms and me for the other stuff.</div>

  • I'm here. I just got back from my work Christmas party. I have a terrible head/chest cold. I would love to be a SAHW.
  • I just got back from seeing Arthur Christmas with FI and it was great.  It was definitely a lot better than I thought it would be and it has humor for both adults and kids.  I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while.

<div>I'm a SAHW... but I'm not a fan.   Even when I lived in STT,  DH liked to go to bed early.. I always went to bed about 1-2 hours later regardless of what our night was like..</div><div>
</div><div>  I would sometimes stay out later than DH,  but not all the time. It was on a case by case bases.  DH trusted me, but I have to say more often than not I went home with DH.  It felt right.  But if I wanted to stay out, I did.  I like I had the option.</div>

  • I cant wait to be a SAHW. I know that I would enjoy it.

Some girl at my work got flowers delivered today. I asked what they were for and she said probably because her H pissed her off a couple days ago. I thought that was a little weird.  But I don't like flowers, so there's that. Not sure what this has to do with anything..
  • Chrissy I still have mine also.

  • Lynda, it was early compared to last year. Our CEO is pregnant with twins due in February, so I think she just wanted to get the party of the way before she couldn't help much. She's already bursting. It was fun and the food was delicious.

</div><div>DH has given me flowers like twice. I think??</div><div>
</div><div>Yeah... I do not expect much from him, but now if I got flowers DELIVERED I would think something is up.   If he went to the grocery store and bought me a bunch of $10 flowers I would be thrilled.. It's not the norm, so I knew he did is just 'because' not to  suck up to me.  </div><div>

  • I had a tooth extracted yesterday.  It was a surprise oral surgery, which is clearly the best kind.

I was, unfortunately, not looney toons.  My medications always wear off stupid fast.  The novocaine kept wearing off while the dentist was working in my mouth. My vicodin keeps wearing off early.

At least I'm not swollen.  Small blessings.
  • I got my wisdom teeth removed like 6 or 7 years ago. I was crazy after. First I was laughing and joking and then a few seconds later I would be hysterically crying. It sucked.

Our xmas party is next Wednesday. I am not looking forward to it at all.

<div>Make sense.    And while 'early' who wants to go to an office party on say the 23?  Office parties are better early.. That way you have time for family stuff.</div>

  • I don't have room for mine. I had to have an expander as a kid and if I could gather my fear of the dentist and get my but in the chair they would be out in a heartbeat. They are starting to hurt like hell.

I am the same way. If he just picked up some flowers from the market I would be happy. But $80 to get some flowers at work- he knows I don't care much for that. The way to my heart is to not spend money haha. He did deliver flowers this past v-day but we were engaged and he wrote the sweetest note. I was out sick that day, whoops. Its the only time I've got flowers, I think one other time he bought some from the store and gave them to me, but that's it.

Oh, and coworker told her H that he can only ever order from the flower places that are already assembled, not like 1-800-flowers that come in a box.
  • I have my wisdom teeth out. I can't take codeine or anti-inflammatories, so it sucked big time. I was so swollen and remember everything.
  • I don't know what I will be able to take. I'm allergic to tylenol so I think that makes codeine a no for me. We'll see. My other issue is finding a new dentist because I won't go back to any of my previous 4.

  • Hi everyone! I feel like I haven't been on here forever. :(. What's new? I remember when I got my teeth pulled. I had to go to a funeral the day after, and I was unable to eat but still took the vicodin. I just remember I had to stand up at the funeral and started swaying back and forth so my dad made me sit back down. I'm sure it would've been great it I had passed out... I'm watching DIY network right now and it's really making me want to finish our basement.

  • They knocked me all the way out since I freak out when I am at the dentist. They gave me vicoden after but I didn't use it. It made me feel queasy and I didn't have much pain. Just alternating ice and hot packs and I was at a concert 3 days later.I didn't swell much.
  • I took the vicodin today without eating.  We didn't have any soft food in the house except raw cookie dough.  That was an epic fail. At least I wasn't at a funeral!
  • I have panic attacks just walking into dentists offices. They will for sure have to knock me out.

  • I was terrified to be put under. It was kind of a stressful experience, between the fear of anesthesia, the funeral, and the fact that I didn't eat much for probably a week. It was around Christmas though, so I didn't gain any holiday weight! Ciara, what freaks you out so much about the dentist?

<div>I did try eating a little bit of it yesterday, actually... but on an empty stomach it made me sort of ill.</div><div>
</div><div>Don't think I didn't eat about three cookies worth on Tuesday (before my surprise oral surgery) though!</div>
