Enclosure wording on the invitation

My fiance is desiging our inviations for our May wedding and we can't agree on one part of them. He wants to put a notice on the invitations that there will be an enclosure with additional information in the envelope, but I don't like the wording he chose "Notice the information slip enclosed with details."

How should we word this so people know to read that page also.

Re: Enclosure wording on the invitation

  • So your invitation will be in an envelope with an enclosure card?  I think people will know to read the enclosure card and any other materials in the envelope.  You do not need to say anything.

Guests will assume they should read all enclosures that come with the invitation.  Guests are aware that invitations often come with a reception or accommodations card.  Saying something like this is unneccessary.
  • No, don't mention anything on the invitation that will be on an insert, including the presence of inserts.  The enclosure card should speak for itself.
  • He is seriously underestimating the intelligence level of the guests of your wedding!  Obviously people will read over everything they get in the envelope containing a wedding invitation...
  • Thank you everyone, I have the same thoughts that we don't need it on the invitations, but it's great to have reassurance.

And mig78, he not only underestimates our guests, but me too, I guess, lol.
