Re: What's happenin' Eeners?

  • I can't wait til Tory can swim more!! It is too cold to go into the rivers or lakes yet.

  • Well, I think I am going to sign off for the night to spend a few minutes with H. I feel so disconnected. We barely have any time to talk or anything.
  • He's doing pretty well Jill.  His limp is almost non-existent now.  I'm trying to take him at least twice a month to help both his knees and his hips since he also has hip dysplasia. I really don't want to go through this again with his other leg :) Tressa is going to go with on Tuesday to see if she likes swimming.

  • My labs love to swim.  Part of the reason we don't want to move them from my parent's house is because my parents have a huge yard with a pool they can swim in all summer.  The type of housing we can find here would depress them.

  • We were told in no uncertain terms when we adopted Ox not to let him try to swim...apparently it didn't go over well the first time. But he LOVES baths
  • Have a good night Missy!

kcscejal-- Tory has only swam a couple times when she was a small pup but she really loved it. I can't wait til she gets to do it all summer since she has the lab love of water. :)

oh beefy wears a life jacket.<div>well, now he's graduated to where they take it off after about 5 minutes and put it back on for the last 5 minutes.  he totally works harder than he has to, it's pretty funny to watch him.  i'm amazed at how much he loves it.</div>

  • I know Bass Pro has dog lifejackets...I wonder if I could get away with sneaking him into the pool at our complex...
  • Can you get the Sally Hansen stuff at Target or Walmart? I'll probably try makeup and see what happens. The tattoo concealer would probably be best, but is more than I want to pay for it. :) I don't care about my bruise THAT much.

I'm actually not sure how I aquired these bruises. I think it was when my old laptop fell off of my lap and I used my leg to break it's fall. I think it ran down my leg and apparently bruised it up. I had a bruise around my knee, the huge bruise on the side of my shin, and then a bruise on my ankle. It's been over two weeks and it's still all nice, big and purple.

It appeared after a drunken weekend, so I'm going to stick with the laptop story. :)
  • My friend got her little dog a life jacket last year for the 4th of July. Brady looooooooooooved it.
  • I had a horrible bruise on my thigh from, who knows, and it was there for a two weeks. I had to look to see if it was still there because I forgot about it.
I think make-up is your best choice.
  • My legs are always bruised.  I'm so clumsy. I never cover them though because they're usually pretty small.

The main bruise that is sticking around is about 2x3 inches now. I wish I had a better story about how I acquired it.
  • I just got out of my english class.  I had to make a presentation tonight, and I was shaking like a freaking leaf.  Public speaking is definitely not my forte.

On a doggie-note, I had to make my mini-daschund do physical therapy in the pool last year.  He hated me for a little while.

  • I used to work in the shoe department at Penney's.  The shelves never moved but I ran in to them at least once a day.  My legs looked lke hell thanks to that job.

  • Birdie, you can find the Sally Hansen stuff at Target with the nail polish. I work there :)

  • Night!

    I'm signing off too.
    See you tomorrow.
  • Hello, is anyone still here? I kind of just skimmed through the posts but congratulations Ciara!!!! Edmund is adorable and I am so glad that nursing is going well for the both of you!! :)

Sesh inspired me so there is some sort of spaghetti casserole in the oven, I just threw in what I thought would be good so we will see how this turns out :) And now thanks to Lynda I was mashed taters now. H went to get me some diet coke so I am here!
  • I'm still here. We're having pizza, but we had a noodle casserole last night and it was delish.
  • Yes, I sat down to see what's going on with TK, and the second post said spaghetti casserole so I stopped and starting making dinner :)

Also went on my first bike ride ever since being an adult, and my ass really hurts. We went a little over 3 miles, which is nothing compared to what some of these other girls can do! But we are very out of shape so we both almost died once we got home, but I am soooo glad we did it! I have been wanting bikes for a while so now we finally got some it is something fun we can do together :)

I've been up for 18 hours so far, but it's only 8:45pm.  Darn jetlag.  I'm debating between going to bed or trying to get back on the clock.
  • I'm still here! Doing homework. I'm SOOO close to being finished with my seperation and loss class.
