Is there anybody out there?

Hello???  What are you up to?  How was your weekend so far?  Tell me something interesting.  Bonus points if you make me laugh.  Triple bonus points if you're a lurker/newb and you tell me something interesting that makes me laugh.

Quadruple bonus points if you answer ONLY in song lyrics, and they actually make sense.

  • My dog is a nut, and hilarious to watch when he doesnt know you are watching. I really wanna go to costco at some point today but I dont wanna go alone and I have a feeling my husband is going to say no way.

My knees also hurt :( I havnt worked out since NYE cause they hurt and I feel horribly fat because of it.
  • I'm here!! I went to bed last night around 10pm, and got up just before noon. Wow.

When Rich got up this morning, the dog did too--and Rich closed the bedroom door behind them when he left. Doggy knows how to push the door open, and get in---but cannot get on the bed (he's too short). So, I could hear him walking around on the hard wood floors---and heard the time he attempted to get on the bed, and missed....so I finally got up.

I left the house for the first time on my own in 3 days to go to Dunkin Donuts. Totally worth it.

  • Yeah we're fine :) We were going straight through an intersection with a green light, and an older man was turning left without yielding to us, right in front of us, so H slammed on the breaks but still hit the passenger side of his car.  I'm kind of worried about the old man though, when we pulled over to a parking lot to chat and call police and such, he had absolutely no idea what was going on. The first thing he said was "Huh, I must have hit some animal in the street. Were you guys behind me?"  Umm, no, we just slammed into the side of your car! wtf? At first I thought he hit his head somehow, but the police officer asked him all of the head injury questions and he did ok, so my other thoughts were that he was drunk or had dementia.

Anyway there was a witness who called the cops for us and told them everything that happened, so we're in the clear fault wise, but when we left the cop was still talking to the other guy, so I'm not sure what happened there. Our car is pretty much fine, certainly driveable, just probably needs a new front bumper. The other guy's not so much. His front right tire was turned perpendicular to the car and I think his axel split :( But yeah luckily no one was hurt. I just hope the guys insurance wasn't fake. The last time I was in an accident, my mom was driving and it was the exact same scenario with a left turner not yielding, and the people gave the cops a fake insurance policy, so my mom ended up having to pay her deductible :(
    Leo says hi. He's...special.

  • I'm sorry your knees hurt Nebb :(  I wish they'd just get better so you didn't have to worry about it anymore!

Rach, how are you feeling?  I'm glad you enjoyed your DD!
  • Yikes, tlv, that sucks.  I'm glad you guys are alright though!
  • Hi! I'm new(ish).  New to (P&)E posting anyway.

Something interesting....My cat loves to jump in the shower after DH or I get out and play in the water.  Then he prances around the apartment soaking wet and wants to cuddle with you, but then you end up soaking wet in your nice, clean dry clothes.  He is also mostly white, so you end up soaking wet + covered in white hair.  But he means well.
  • Hahah, Kim, that's great!  My cat likes to drink out of the tub faucet, so she does the same thing.  She'll also sit and stare at you while you shower.  She's kind of creepy.  Triple bonus points for you :)
  • I wish my knees would get better too, theyve hurt for a few days now and I dont know why. I cant afford to go to physio anymore either so im just doing my knee exercises on my own and hoping for the best. I have a session with my trainer tomorrow and im hoping I dont die, I feel horribly out of shape lately.
  • Yes, he will sit in between the shower curtains while we shower.  The inner one is the see-through vinyl so he's a perv ;)

He also likes to drink out of the sink faucet when I brush my teeth.  Other weird catisms include trying to chew off the wrapping paper on all of the Christmas presents and he enjoys sitting by the window at this time of year (it is 18 degrees outside, so the window is very, very cold).

BTW - sn is misleading, my name is Tiffany :)
  • Sounds like our cats would get along well.  Mine plays fetch.  I think that's pretty much the strangest thing she does!
  • Hahah ive been laying on the bed watching my husband shovel outside. You can tell hes getting pissed off because hes just pushing the shovel around with one hand and being extremely erratic with what he is doing. Its hilarious to watch. I know hes going to come inside and say "such and such is bullshit!", not sure what yet but I know he will say that.
  • I'm feeling better!! I look like I fell asleep with a sharpie in my hand, though---so I'm trying to avoid going out when possible (i.e. Dunkin Donuts = necessary, groceries = not).

  • Haha, nice Nebb!

DD is obviously way more necessary than groceries.  Who needs groceries?!
