Response Cards through Facebook???

We have quite a few guests who have not returned their response cards...

The cards were due back by September 1 and we still have at least 20-30 people who have not responded...

Since just about everyone on that list is on Face Book, do you think it would be appropriate to send a mass email out requesting that they either send the cards back or respond to email if they are coming??

I think it would be much more convenient then having to divide the list up amount family members to start making phone calls...

Personally, I wouldn't go the FB route. I think there are some things that are still best done over the phone, in an actual conversation, and this falls into that category.

No "mass" anything.  You have to contact each guest individually.  I think a Facebook message could be appropriate, if that's already a way you keep in touch.

A mass facebook "e-mail" would be very impersonal, and I think inappropriate for this type of situation.  I also vote phone call.  I think facebook would be more of a last resort for me.

I agree a mass fb message doesn't seem like the best idea.  I'd try calling them, maybe FI or another friend/family member can help you make the calls.  An individual email (reg email not fb) might be okay for some people if you have their email addys but not their phone numbers.

We either called or e-mailed (to their regular e-mail account, not on facebook) each guest individually.  I would recommend that over a mass e-mail - it just seems so impersonal.

I guess I should have explained who I was going to send the message to.... The 20+ year old cousins who I see on facebook who haven't responded yet...

I will definitely let the Moms/Dads talk to their friends and the family members who haven't responded yet!
