Effin' Tuesday Evening thread?

Ugh...
Eff this RAIN...

And Eff the realtor we had an appointment with tonight to talk about selling our house who didn't show..

And Eff all the work I'm doing from my chair because I'm in a special meeting all day every day this week but still have to get my normal job done too.

Now that I've gotten that out of my system hope everyone else is doing better than me today.

Re: Effin' Tuesday Evening thread?

  • Sorry you're having a rough day, Loops!

I'm in and out.  Being lazy and now I'm hungry and I don't have anything to eat.  Maybe a bowl of cereal...

  • Sorry for the bad day loopy!!

I'm tired. Was up at 5:30am to go work out and then head to work. Stupid going back to work again. Today was all quality assurance stuff ALL day so it was kind of boring. I'm kind of just in a "meh" mood right now.

  • Sorry you had a bad day...maybe tomorrow will be better?

So far my day hasn't been too bad...hopefully it will stay that way!

  • I agree with you for all the extra work. Besides my regular job, I have/had meetings and trainings this week. Also people claiming they didn't know that we were doing this or that.
    Otherwise, today was good.
  • I'm with you on the rain.  It's been raining since Thursday.  VERY unusual for us to have 1 rainy day let alone 5.

I'm working tomorrow, can't tell what the weather is going to be like.  Today they said 40 percent rain and it rained all day.  So who knows?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Sorry it's been a rough one, Loopy.

It was a weird one for me today too. I basically spent it doing laps around campus getting crap signed for graduation. It started to feel a littler stalker-y.
  • Tomorrow will be more of the same with the meeting.  The sun isn't supposed to come out until like Friday.  But we rescheduled with the realtor for Thursday - she was highly recommended by someone we trust and she called and said she had an emergency and meant to call and reschedule but got sidetracked and then forgot and that she feels absolutely awful about it.  I've been there so we'll give her the benefit of the doubt for now.

But I actually really do like the purpose of the meeting and am enjoying the stuff I'm doing at work right now.  I just wish someone would do my normal job while I'm wrapped up in this week-long project. LOL.
  • DH is watching a show on this woman who is 600+.  She can't  get out of bed she is so large.

I just can't imagine getting so big I can't even get out of bed.

  • Sorry your having a bad day! That's no fun at all. I just had a frosty from Wendy's so I'm a happy camper :)

I've actually had a really good day. I got an interview at hospital here. My first dress fitting was today and the only alterations I need are a bustle and cups. My dress fits perfectly! Tomorrow is my hair/makeup trial. This wedding is finally starting to become real.

  • It's raining here, too. But it is supposed to clear up. I can't wait for the new Pirates to come out this weekend. I am going to take my sister for her birthday.

I am still really tired. I chilling watching tv with my Grandma. I will probably hit the hay early tonight.
  • Hi Missy! I saw a post earlier. You'r all settled up in Ohio??
    image
  • Hiya!

I am not quite there, but did a lot of work today. I still have to put some more things away. But it is definitely better and quieter here than where we were staying. I almost don't know what to do without all the craziness.
  • Heat????
I was going to ask that to Missy too.
Nothing wrong with a high five.

I can relate to a point. I have lived below my parents the past 2 years, which you would think is quiet and peaceful. Opposite. my parents are insane in a good/bad way. It's so peaceful to not listen to them arguing about everything and anything. I don't worry about walking into a sh*tstorm anymore. I can come home and actually relax.

  • My Grandma has the heat on in her house. It is windy and cold outside. It is so weird going from wearing shorts to winter clothes again. I just hope I will soon be able to wear some of the new summer clothes I bought.

  • ggirl - yeah, I tried my darndest to tune things out, but it was hard. That is why it was (still is for H) so hard for us b/c we are used to having our own place, doing things our way and coming home from work to chill and relax. I love kids and all or I wouldn't be teaching, but it is just our friends kids lack some disciple and respect for others.

She's only 29 and weighs a half ton.  She claims she doesn't eat much.  I guess I can understand that now, but there had to have been a time when she did.  That kinda stuff just doesn't happen.

<div>I feel sorry for her.  She seems to be in denial.  It's hard to understand her  saying "I do not eat much" and then campaign for gastric by-pass surgery.   Why do you need the by-pass if you do not eat a lot?   (I'm sure it's more complicated than that)</div>

Yeah, I guess I understand, but I don't at the same time.  You don't just wake up that heavy.  She's been given a year to live and she is just NOW deciding gastric bypass?  I would have considered that the minute I was bed-ridden four years ago.  Like you said though, I'm sure there is something mental going on that we don't quite see or understand.
