Oh I have another one! I haven't seen it this week but I think it's because she hasn't been posting this week. The lovefest over the new Anna chick is making me want to puke. We get it, she's cute. I swear last week every post I read someone was fawning all over her and someone was even like "oh since you said it Anna, I have to make this because you are just too cute!". Barf, eyeroll, sigh.
    Posted by danieliza1127
I usually agree with people when they say these things, but general fawning over people makes me eyeroll. And it makes me uncomfortable in the rare event that I might be complimented or something as well. :)

Yeah I know, I just got my feathers ruffled thinking about some other convos I've had regarding this topic recently. :)

Like when people infer I don't have compassion for humanity or something. I had a lot of compassion for the people who were in a car accident I saw on Christmas Eve and all of the firefighters who were there to help and not able to be with their families. I felt so bad for them... Until a couple punk kids threw an icy snowball at my car and my compassion went down a few notches. :)

    ETA: typos. I suck today.

  • I'm gonna flame SD3194. I think she post randomly everywhere. She just seems like she's trying too hard to be a badass whenever she posts. But the thread that rubbed me wrong was this one:

    http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_wedding-party_wedding-party-attendants-husband-felon

OP was asking if she has to invite friend's felon husband. Responses started with you have to their a social unit, but when it came to light that he was a violent sex offender, most people changed their tune, but SD went on about how "we" all think it's rude to not invite him. Other ladies had to say, "Woah, speak for yourself. Violent sex offenders don't have to get an invite."

  • One of my friends that lives OOT too was just telling me about a wedding in November that was outdoors at night, and the BM's wore strapless short dresses. It was like 60 degrees during the day so the bride decided to move the ceremony outdoors, not thinking it would drop to like 40 at night. I flame that chick.

  • Sorry if this sound bitchy, but I gotta get it out.

I flame anyone who puts up a pregnancy ticker before they are 12 weeks, especially if they have had issues in the past or know that people on here have. On one side, I would feel awful if things turned bad and they had to tell everyone why the ticker was gone, on the other side I feel like they are rubbing in the faces of people who are having problems conceiving, like "look at me! I'm 3 weeks and 5 days pregnant and want the WHOLE WIDE WEB to know! Squee!!" (<- overexaggeration, but you get my point)

It just rubs me the wrong way.

  • Oh man, I'm so guilty of just jerking off all over Anna. I don't know why. I lurve her. And I totally was like "yea, hummus!" when she suggested it. I'm okay with sucking. She's just. so. cute.

I don't think I have any other flames, other than that one for myself.
In Response to Re: FFT? : There was a post on AA a little while ago where a bride was having an outdoor wedding at a ski resort in February. She had those little propane heaters, and she was asking if it was cruel to ask the bridesmaids not to wear coats. You see, because then they wouldn't match....
    Posted by cfaszews25
Hahaha, what a tool. I would get a big plaid parka and wear that shiit over my bridesmaid dress, just for her.

A girl I know was in a wedding in late October where the bride made them wear flimsy little Renaissance dresses for the outdoor ceremony, in northern Massachusetts. Crazy.

Ditto this flame. Just like the people who put it on FB that they are 4 weeks pregnant. Seriously I think they pee on the stick and go straight to FB. One FB friend posted how she was so excited to be KU, then the next day said she "lost the baby." Found a from a cousin that she was late on her period, told everyone that she was pregnant, and then got her period the next day and said she was having a miscarriage. No you effing dingdong you just were never pregnant.
Whoa. Yeah, I think a rapist would fall under the "okay not to invite to your wedding" catagory. WTF. That being said, while I really do like Banana, I think the whole "if he doesn't need to register as a sex offender with his neighborhood then you're out of line not inviting him" is ridiculous. You're not wallpapering his area with his picture and criminal history. You're saying you'd prefer not to have him around on your wedding day. I don't care if he's "paid his debt to society", if you're a violent sex offender I don't want to be around you.

I don't remember if I evne responded to that thread or just read through it, but I don't think I'd be comfortable having a sex offender at my wedding regarless of if he had to register or not.

SD did bring to light that there are some flaws with Meghan's law because of the 18 year olds that get caught with their 15 or 16 year old partners and then have to register as a sex offender forever.

  • about the pregnancy ticker before 3 months thing..

3 months is a VERY long time to hold on to the excitement of being pregnant... and not sharing the news because others are having trouble just doesn't do it for me. i probably wouldn't blab about it every post i make, but i think a pregnancy ticker is relativetly harmless.

I don't see that as a flaw. If I'm 18, I'm not going to have sex with anybody who isn't 18. At the risk fo TMI, there are many other ways to experience mutual pleasure that don't involve sexual intercourse. And I don't know why an 18 years old would want to boink a 15 year old anyways, that's kind of gross to me.

ETA - I don't think they should have to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives, but I don't think that they should just be given a slap on the wrist. You're legally an adult. So don't have sex with people that aren't.

This is what I was wondering. If anything, the laws (in my understanding which is admittedly very limited) are skewed to having too many people have to register (like the aforementioned 18 yr old sleeping with his 15 yr old girlfriend)
