Oh yes. It's kind of a long story, but I went into blackout panic attack mode on someone over the phone once.

For some reason, I can't imagine you getting that mad! It must have been bad!

  • Yes!! A guy at the bar I work at in the summers, for some unknown reason, smacked my leg last year. Hard. And he happened to hit right on my incision from the surgery I had had one month earlier.

    I went insane on him.

I am trying to bring this board to life! I am sad that it has slowed down more now that I am out of school. I am a board killer!

I think it was the most mad I have ever been in my life. I needed a nap afterwards.

But yeah I only get super flip out mad like once every 5 years.

  • Yes. Pissed, definately. Intimidating, probably. But polite, I was so excruciatingly polite. Actually, said stranger backed off, nearly wet her self apologizing, and ran away crying. I caught the little twit actively spreading rumors that a dear, sweet lady I had known for years was actually a man. Just because the lady was tall. It was hurtful, spiteful, and unforgivably rude.

That being said, I don't suffer fools easily, and tend to find many of them in retail and customer service. I do tell them what I think, but rarely lose my temper over it. On those rare occasions, extreme politeness is far more frightening than volume.

  • I get into my share of fights with people when I'm walking and then they almost hit me with their cars. Or that time a bunch of kids ran me down with bikes when I was walking in the snow.

Best one ever was more when somebody else flipped out on me - I was at a stoplight, and I got rear ended. I got out of the car to check for damage, looked back at the other driver, and she was STILL on her cell phone. So I walked over to her window, and said in a somewhat measured tone, "Don't you know it's a really fucking bad idea to talk on your phone while you're driving?" And then she immediately jumped out of her car, screaming that I'm an uppity biitch and threatening to fight me. After she rear ended me. That was special.

Hahaha! Did you at least hurt him?

I have lost my temper on someone when I was driving. They pulled into my lane and almost side swiped my car. So, I  rode their a$$ for a while and then drove around them and flipped them the bird. That was highly stupid of me to ride someone's a$$ and then shot the bird at them. I have terrible road rage sometimes because I am on the road so much.

OMG no! You know what it was? I didn't remember you posting about this. It was a memory of mine coming back. A few years ago,  I also had a guy do this to me when I was waitressing as a cocktail waitress. I was resting at the bar and he came over and slapped me as hard as he could on my leg. He thought it was some type of funny foreplay or whatever. I cried it hurt so bad. My DH threw his a$$ out . He wanted to beat the guy's a$$ but couldn't. I had forgot about that until you mentioned your incident.

  • Yes, I actually punched a 6' 3" man in the face.  I was at a bar/restaurant with a bunch of friends and I was talking with the bartender, when this man, more an acquaintance of my group thought it would be funny to put his hand up my skirt.  Luckily for me, about five guys jumped in between us and escorted him out of the bar.

  • I used to work at a call center that handled customer support for T-Mobile FlexPay.  If you're not familiar, FlexPay is prepaid on crack.  It's for people who have bad credit or don't want a credit check.  But for some reason, the people who are on FlexPay think that they are entitled to everything under the sun.  There was one guy who wanted something taken off his bill.  It was a valid charge, but he didn't want to hear it.  He was complaining because he served in one of the wars and was a vet and should get better treatment because I should be thanking him for my freedom.  I was trying to de-escallate the call, and relate to him, and I told him "Well, as an American, thank you for serving our country.  My younger brother is military as well."  He replied with "If your brother is overseas, I hope he takes a bullet to the head."  That was the one call that I broke the rules on and disconnected on the caller without 3 warnings.  I told him "Sir, I have been trying to help you, but you insist on saying things that are uncalled for.  Thank you for calling T-Mobile and have a nice day" *click*  I was proud of myself for not completely losing my temper, but I did take myself off the call floor for a while because I was seeing red.
  • Oh wow Mir, what a douche. How could he say that about another soldier?!
