Hello ladies,
I wanted to post a recommendation for my wedding photographer. I was in search for a photographer that costs $1000 or less. I know some of you may be cringing as you read this but I just couldn't afford more than that in my budget. I wanted to surprise my groom with a groom's cake from the the famous Cake Alchemy, the best Photobooth company I found, and a New Orleans Jazz band. So I had a lot on my plate!
Well, I found him. He was fantastic! He showed up super early with his assistant/wife who also photographed (two for one!). They were really sweet and took all of the shots we requested and them some! I couldn't recommend him more to fellow budget-challenged brides.

I might as well say it - I found a few photographers in my price range but I did the same research anyone would do when looking for a photographer. I searched for recommendations, looked at their portfolios, asked if they photographed an evening wedding on a boat (my venue was the Atlantica at Chelsea Piers), etc. Just because I couldn't put down a few grand for a photographer doesn't mean I was willing to settle for mediocre work.
There are a lot of struggling, up-and-coming, new artists that arrive to NYC every day. It's best that smart and savy brides use this to our advantage and get into this win-win situation. We get beautiful photographs and they get great recommendations plus photos to add to their own portfolio!
