3 more sleeps! 3 more sleeps!

And we leave for the honeymoon. I want to do NOTHING at work but scope out restaurants and stuff.

H went back to the doc yesterday and is still stuck in the boot for 3 more weeks. Say his heel is healing great, buuuuut 3 more weeks. We'd already devised a plan B for the California leg (and actually started to like it better) so a little change of plans but all good.

We leave Saturday for Vegas, arrive there around noon. We are staying here:

Planning on a Cirque de Soleil show Saturday, Sunday getting a monorail pass and seeing more of the strip and hitting 3 exhibits--the Shark Reef, The Titanic exhibit and an Interactive CSI exhibit--then Monday night we see Phantom of the Opera!

We head to California on Tuesday the 7th. Our original plan was to stay over in Santa Monica, we had a hotel right at the beach. But since H is still in the boot, we cancelled that and booked an awesome looking hotel in Hollywood. It's up at Universal Studios and the package includes a pass to Universal!  It will just be easier to get around in Hollywood, and more to do. Like my favorite museum:

I can't wait for this week to be over!  We're so ready!  And bonus--H thought his time off would be unpaid--but he just called and said he has a week paid vacation so it's all covered!  When he got promoted to shift supervisor they never told him! Maybe because he'd asked for the HM week off when he started working there (when he didn't have paid time off). But woo-hoo!!!

  • Exciting!  Have a great time on your HM.  When I read "3 more sleeps" I was like is she talking days?  Because I've been telling Jocelyn each night that if she just goes to bed X number more times then she'll get to go to school.
  • Have fun!  You might consider getting a pass for the Deuce bus on Sunday instead of the Monorail- we've done both, and honestly, the Monorail is kind of out of the way and a PITA to get to, where as the bus is right there on the strip!  We saw Phantom, too; the theatre is absolutely incredible, we had a great time.

  • Pirata, that's my nephew's expression for how much longer until an event he's looking forward to! I love it.

The Phantom show out there is really, really good. You could take a gondola ride while you're there too. I hope you got some good seats. We were pretty close to the chandelier, and it freaked my SIL out.

    Have a wonderful honeymoon!

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew

Missy--we're DEFINITELY doing a gondola ride!
