Seeking videographer recommendation

Hi all-Looking for recommendations for NYC videographer willing to travel to Jersey City. Also, so I have an idea, if anyone can tell me what they spent or if they know going rates, that would be really helpful to determine if this is even worth pursuing. Didn't want to spend more than 1K, ideally wanted to keep it around 750. I know that wouldn't be a whole day's work, but that's ok- ceremony/special dances or even just ceremony- and no edited final, just raw footage- would be alright.Mainly, we wanted to have that professional look, and someone using a steady cam so they can move around and capture moments of the guests and such, without a ton of shakiness. Didn't want to get guests involved in filming, would rather have a pro fully engaged in that and have the guests just enjoy the time. And if anyone's ever done this partial day coverage thing, I'd be curious to hear about your experience. Thanks!

Re: Seeking videographer recommendation

  • $750 is going to be really hard.  Our cinematographer was fabulous but her fees started at 4K.
  • I'm sure you'll find someone that charges $750.00 but don't expect a high quality video. try google'ing it. im sure theres plenty out there.

    goodluck..

    ps
i'm going for J Castillo Films .. here is their website www.jcastillofilms.com .. like laurel and john said these high end cinematographers are not cheap but they give you good quality video.
