No Gifts Please

My FI and I would like to put "no gifts please" onto the wedding invitations...any suggestions where I should place it?  How it should be worded properly?  Maybe on the response cards?  Help!!

Simply put, you don't.  There should not be a mention of gifts anywhere in the invites.

You might not want gifts, but people will give them regardless.  You can have your family and WP spread the word that you don't want them, but still expect to receive them and graciously accept them.

You don't.  If you don't want gifts, don't register and spread it via word of mouth.

    Leave it off entirely.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you want gifts?

People will want to give you gifts, because they love you and want to celebrate your marriage.  Don't you enjoy giving gifts when you attend a wedding?  Don't deny people that.  If they don't want to give gifts, or if they can't afford to, they'll either skip a gift or scale down, accordingly.

You shouldn't mention gifts on the invitations at all.

    What the PPs said.

On your wedding website you could probably get away with mentioning no gifts. In the registry section you could link to charities they could donate to instead. But don't mention anything on your invites.
