I'm fired up about religion today I think - and my FB is swarminig with "the Fall Festival was a great time last night at (insert name of Baptist church here - so far, they've all been Baptist on my news feed)! It's great to bring the word of the lord into Halloween!" Etc.
I had never really noticed this trend til I came to the Bible Belt. My cousin's church is veeeeeeery strict and they have a fall festival on Halloween to encourage kids to understand that Jesus is better than the Devil and his Halloween. *gag*
What say you. I obviously think it's bullshit
ETA: These fall festivals aren't a celebration of fall - they dress up and basically do halloween at the church so the kids aren't supporting the Devil's holiday.
