I was lurking around the boards and saw some great registry ideas in the last post.  I'd love some creative ideas for items under $50 that I might have never considered.

Electric griddle. I can't see to find on on the BBB web site, but Target has a bunch  here:

I don't use it that often, but it's great for pancakes or French toast if you're serving a few people. My parents always had one growing up so I registered for one the first time I got married and still remember all the oohs and ahs from people who had never seen one.

Also coffee carafe. This isn't the one I have, but something like this:

If you bake at all, it's awesome.  It's a two-tier cupcake carrier, but the cupcake holder slots come out so you can use it for cookies, bars, brownies, whatever.  I've used it a million times already.  I love it.

I Love my pineapple slicer. It's so easy to use and your pineapple slices into a long curly ring. Then you can drink pina coladas out of the the shell of the pineapple. We do this for ladies weekend every year.

Well we haven't used many of our shower gifts yet, but I will second the pyrex bowls with lids. Stoked for using those. 

Also I got a pyrex portable glass dish...dish, lid, hot/cold pack (either freeze or microwave it depending on what you're making/transporting). It's no longer on Target site, but it is similar to this, but is the long lasagna size rectangle dish.

Silicon wine glass charms - but rather than going around the base of the glass they stuck to wherever you stick them! We love entertaining and these are so cute!

I got a corded immersion blender at BBB for $29.99.  Love it!

My favorite item (which we now own) is our Bissell pet hair vacuum which was purchased for $20 but retails at $28. It blows our old cordless one away. I would recommend it for non-pet owners too because it does a great job of lifting up anything!

Other "unique" items under $50 we registered for:

socket set (just have your FI pick out some tools he needs)
Picnic basket
Folding table for picnics/outdoor activities
Board games
Stainless steel compost keeper
