Should I have formally introduced myself?

I posted last week that I had been around back in the day, and I've sort of just interjected here and there since... but I noticed that a newbie posted an introduction below and it looks like maybe that's a standard protocol around these parts these days.

I'm a 'second wedding' bride, but there isn't a whole helluva lot going on at the Second Weddings board - and Etiquette is kinda where I'd like to be anyway.  P&E4LIFE is what my knot tattoo would say if I were to get a knot-related tattoo.

I'm getting married in June 2012, I live in Colorado, and I'm not afraid to get dirty.

  • P.S. I really want to talk to laurenclaire about her siggy photo - she looks absolutely stunning.  Laurenclaire - if you're out there - you're gorgeous!  I love your hat, too.

I have two daschunds, a beagle, and a bird!!  I love the dogs - the bird was left to me in the divorce.  She's a decent bird, but they're weird pets.

Hmmm.. I love cooking.. I homebrew beer ... and just found a hilarious new adult cartoon called Archer on (I think) FX.  I don't watch a lot of TV, so when I find something badass, I fall in love with it.

What kind of bird do you have?  FI and I have an umbrella cockatoo- he's a good bird too, for a bird, but he's more FI's than mine, and tends to be a pain in the butt for me.
  • Who and when were you the first time around?

I was around in 2004/2005 and went by kortneyandben *cowering and cringing* ... I"m not the same lunatic I was back then though... so the mods really don't need to worry about banning me.  Please.

My bird is a cockatiel, she's about 10 years old.

  • Hey, you must remember me

  • Lunatic? Go on...

I had a super duper crazy husband and was not in an awesome place.  We had a crazy relationship and I was young and stupid.  I got banned a lot for saying a lot of completely effed up stuff.

    well...maybe

and I don't talk so don't even give it a thought
  • Oh okay.  You brought the crazy.  That's cool.  Glad you're in a better place (assumably) now.

  • I'm in a WAY better place now... seven years, a divorce, and a lot of soul searching will do that. :D
  • Plenty have brought the crazy since you've been gone. Don't feel too bad about it.

He's awesome!!  He's a little less than a year younger than me, he installs mobile shelving .. so like those big verticle conveyors at the doctor's office where they keep your prescriptions.. those kind of things.  He owns a lovely little home in the suburbs that he so graciously shares with me.  We're currently doing a bunch of remodeling.. well, he remodels, I keep him company. :D

hmmm... he's an average dude, really.  Likes football, has a motorcycle, he's tall and handsome.  lol...
  • He does sound awesome to me too.

I'm very happy that you will be starting a new life with such a great guy!
  • Congrats on finding a good place in life and a good man to share it with!

I was around in the 2001-2004ish time, so we may have crossed paths.  I was Lo121402 back in the day.
