Well that makes me feel better. I just feel so reclusive since we got back. I'm tired and don't feel like entertaining anyone. I've really enjoyed the post-wedding boringness of my life - tidying the house, hanging out with the dogs, having coffee and watching the news in the morning, <u><strong>no wedding related talk</strong></u>, etc.

Sometimes DH and I will be relaxing and I'll say, "Babe, we need to write our vows!" For .03 seconds he panics and then glares at me. No worries! I jumped in right as the thread was dying and I figured you probably wouldn't see it. :)

I have tons of family in Marietta/Kennesaw area (where I went to high school) but I lived in Atlanta for a while too when I went to school. I hated every minute of it.

The reason I don't work in my intended career field (interior design) is because I graduated college and couldn't fathom moving to Atlanta. I probably should have just gotten a business degree, but I wasn't planning ahead in college. One of my BFF's lives up there and it totally suits her, but I know I would hate it.

Yeah, I would positively hate living IN Atlanta. As it is, I'm an hour from downtown, but very rural. Best of both worlds. Shannon, I didn't realize that you had an Atlanta connection, too.

It's changed a lot since I moved to Florida in 2006 (the Buckhead area, mainly) but oh my god - the traffic, the dirtiness of it, the pace - it's just too much. And not a pretty city either, like San Francisco.

Yeah! We moved from Florida up to Marietta when I was 13. I went to middle school and high school in Marietta/Kennesaw and then in 2001, I moved to Atlanta to go to school at Georgia State for film/directing. I lived in the city (highlands, midtown, buckhead, druid hills, briarcliff area) for about 6 or 7 years before moving back to Florida. I loved midtown and druid hills as much as one could, but I still couldn't wait to get out of Atlanta.

I do like the suburbs of Atlanta. Very pretty areas.

I am already in the process of making Grandma Nugget's green beans.  I know it is 9 in the morning, which means I will be having salt pork and bacon grease for breakfast.  But I don't care. 

I also just got done doing the weekly check in calls with my temp agencies to let them know I'm STILL available, and got the same "well we are getting busier so we'll let you know if anything comes in blah blah blah I'm full of sh*t" spiel I get every week.

I have to work at noon today which sucks. But the next three days at work will be spent trying to get all my information on my big project set so I can take it to headquarters and hopefully impress a bunch of people who are way above my head. But if I fvck it up, I can kiss my career here goodbye. Oh and the team lead I'll be working with today HATES that I spend more than 10 minutes a day on it, so I probably won't get it done today. Anyway, today is going to suck.
