I vote a very special piece of jewelry that will remind me of my 30th and that I'll keep forever. The other things will be used and gotten rid of in a few years.

I voted other, and it would be a TomTom if you could get a new one that cheap, which is probably impossible.

I'd rather have a fancy dinner. We don't do big dinners out too often, so I think I'd want to go somewhere special. I do like Bec's idea of special jewelry, but I don't wear jewelry too often.

I chose a purse, although birthdays aren't huge present-giving occasions with us. We usually just do a nice dinner out at one of our favorite places.

Bec's idea is good. I would probably want something more special & meaningful than something materialistic. J kept surprising me all through the day (Edible Arrangement for breakfast, Mrs Field's cookie Cake at the bar, A dozen roses, etc) and I will remember that forever. It was seriously the best birthday ever.

See, normally I'd go for a nice dinner out, be we do that at least once every 6 or 7 months as it is. So, dinner is out.  And also, he hasn't purchased a birthday present for me in about 3 years as it is (because I told him not to).

Amoro, if he hasn't bought you anything for your birthday in a few years, then I would totally go with jewelry. A small ring to wear on your right hand maybe? Or a bracelet or necklace you could wear daily? As a reminder? Hmm...

Or a nice pair of jeans. There is nothing like a pair of GOOD jeans that make your a$$ look amazing.

Yeah, I'd definitely ask for a small necklace or bracelet from a local jeweler to remind you of your time in Italy AND your 30th bday.

The birthday is on January 10th.  Ugh.

A beautiful Murano piece.  I truly regret not having bought a Murano pendant light when I was in Venice...  I'd love to have that for my house now.  But I was a broke college student at the time

I got really nice italian gold earrings in firenze when I was there. but I voted Other because I would want a nice dinner out and a romantic evening. or maybe a surprise party, but that's a little more than $100 isnt it... ugh I'm no use sorry!

I'd go with tickets or some kind of "experience" (even though I said shoes). I'm a purse whore, but I like to pick my own. I'd also accept a night at a B&B, or a day trip to a local attraction, like Disneyland or a wine tour.

I also appreciate experiences more than presents.  I like the wine trip idea...there has to be some good vineyards around there?

Hm.  We are going to Venice tomorrow.  Course, we were planning to have his company buy us some Murano glass vases for our wedding present.

I also put a purse because I am in need of one bad! Jewelery would be good also...I got engaged for my 30th so that is probably my Bday present for a while and I am more then fine with that!  Happy 30th!

I picked other.  I'm turning 30 in February and I really really want to go somewhere.  I'd love to do a weekend trip to somewhere in the caribbean, or maybe NOLA or somewhere.  I want to go someplace warm. 

I think I'm going to end up getting dinner out.

My bday is the day before yous and I don't even know what I want yet.  I said jewelery but also like the idea of a dinner out.  Or jeans.
