(P&)E Batsignal!

I need help.

CN:  She put her CC in and ordered stuff from a website with a zero return policy.  But, since she said "do not process" in the notes, she thinks they owe her $1000 since she really doesn't want anything.

Oh, and she CP'd from her local and ended up pasting it twice on Invites.

  • The problem with all these new boards is we can't keep up with the dumbness. For example, there is a poster on budget weddings (post is flowers or no flowers) that suggested beta fish as CPs. It's been a while for that one!!

  • I love sharing the stupidity with B.  We'll laugh about it.

I also love thinking that somewhere along the line, that girl clicked a button that said "place order".

That's what I can't get past too.  And, I knew if I said anything to her it was going to be along the lines of "perhaps you should spend $1k on a new brain instead" and that wouldn't have gone well.

  • DH was feeling compassionate and felt bad if her budget for invites was much cheaper and she was just checking on something.  I told him it probably wasn't and that I don't feel bad for her at all.  She's a moron!

  • But now I have fallen in love with their designs, and my budget is trying (successfully) to talk me out of going this route for invites. I did order a sample though. My MOH does printing, so she might need to figure out how to do this for me cheaper if possible.

  • THis was a great breakfast read.  She posted the same rant on my local too...i guess b/c the company is in St. Petersburg?  StPete isn't in CFL.

  • At my company, you'd be amazed how many people call customer service and say, "Uh, yeah, you took money out of my bank account." No sh!t. You have to put your account number and routing number into our applications. Also, the webpage tells you about the charges. What the hell did you think was going to happen?

  • I don't understand why she can't tel them what changes to make so that they CAN proceed with the order.

I work in printing and before we proceed on a customer's order, we'll require that they approve of the artwork.  She didn't really explain WHY the order needed to be cancelled - just that she wanted them to do that.

  • Banana - eye to eye.

They look like great quality invites AND they do custom work. So what's the problem? Unless she did decide that $1,000 was too much, after all.

  • I just don't get coming here to bash a company when she's clearly the dumb one.  Since it's a vendor bash I could make a case to delete it, but she's done more good advertising than bad for them.

  • I work in a store that does invitations...and honestly, we have the same policy set. No refunds on custom. If you decide to cancel the order after it begins, we need that money to pay the vendor because they WILL charge us for it.

I had a guy once, oooohhh he was special. He ordered invites for a wedding happening in 6 weeks. We got them rushed, they looked great, he picked them up. The day before the wedding,  he came in to return them. Because they were postponing a few months. ???

Me: You can't return custom printed items.

Him: Your Web site says you accept returns.

Me: We do, but not on custom printed items.

Him: That's ridiculous. We can't use these.

Me (in my head only): Not my f-in problem; you changed the date.

Me in reality: I'm sorry, we can't give you a refund. You signed a contract and you have to honor it.

I then showed him the contract where he signed saying he understands there are no refunds once the order goes through. He was pissed, but he left empty handed.

  • And if our customer wanted to return something that was fully in-spec simply because the customer wanted a change made after the proof was approved, there would be zero refund.

So I'm still not understanding why this person can't get the changes made at all.

It also concerns me that these are here ONLY posts.
